H, the Co-Founder of a startup launched during the COVID-19 lockdown, reached out to me for assistance as he navigated a significant career transition from finance to entrepreneurship. Although he was confident in his product, H, a natural introvert, struggled with the pressure associated with investment pitches.

Challenges
His main obstacles included:

  • Anxiety and creeping self-doubt

  • Forgetting key points when addressing potential investors

Global HR Director - Coaching for Confidence & Public Speaking

J is a Global Director in his 50s, and had heard about my services through a workshop. He got in touch as he said he had ‘suddenly lost confidence, and I don’t know why’. He was struggling to identify what exactly had caused it, but told me the main issues were:

  • Lack of confidence

  • Struggling to speak up in meetings as he was getting so anxious

  • Struggling to manage difficult personalities at work

  • Needed to do a presentation in his new role and was extremely anxious about it

Despite his working-class background and ability to make substantial amounts of money, he found himself losing it every time. His business partnerships repeatedly failed, and his personal relationships were unstable. A lacked self-awareness, emotional control, and a clear professional direction.

Challenges
A was stuck in a mindset of scarcity, driven by a deep fear of returning to poverty. He was reactive, emotionally overwhelmed, and struggling to maintain focus as a business owner, which led to procrastination and tension in both his personal and professional relationships. He was struggling with confidence & found building relationships difficult, which was stopping him gaining clients.

Our Approach
Through therapeutic coaching, we tackled his unhealthy relationship with money, shifting his focus from lack to abundance. We worked on emotional regulation, boosting his confidence, and strengthening his communication skills.
